Christians must become acquainted with what’s been called, “the strange new world of the Bible.” This world is where people constantly encounter God and find themselves transformed by the meeting. The Bible starts as God’s story and becomes our story.
Most every week you can find us on Thursday evenings (6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) reading through the Bible. We gathers first for refreshment and conversation and then just read the text together, pausing for teaching and more conversation about the Word revealed. Child-care is provided.
We are currently reading 1 Maccabees, one of the books that takes place between the Old and New Testaments (in the Apocrypha). Copies of it are available to any who wish to attend.
